Carlo Zottmann has created a firefox extension that is inspired ;) from MoreGoogle. It's called McSearchPreview and it's free.

Hi Andreas,

I use google at least two dozen times every day. I must say this tool is way cool I love it. Can you please make a version for the Opera Browser (Win32 version)? Like lots of folks theeese days I limit IE use and use an alternate browser. Opera is both faster and more feature rich than IE and does not have all the security problems exploits IE has. Thanks.

This tool sounds great, but I installed it and unfortunately it doesn't work with Slimbrowser. Too bad :-(

Hi
agreed, Opera support would be GREAT!

Also - but this might to to far a bookmarklet which enables a one-click "alexa create a new icon of this page" thing...

Hi

to update the Alexa picture of your / a site quickly add this to your bookmarks (it's a bookmarklet). A click on it will update the Alexa picture for the site you are on. Testes with IE 6 and Opera 7:
(make sure you get all in one line!)

javascript:var clickURL=(self.clickURL)?self.clickURL:location.href; var clickTitle=(self.clickTitle)?self.clickTitle:document.title; void(open('http://thumbnails.alexa.com/update_thumbnail?url='+escape(clickURL)+'&title='+clickTitle,'click','height=393,width=393,title=no,location=no,scrollbars=yes,menubars=no,toolbars=no,resizable=yes'));
